Dear Friends,
These days, my practices have never been more important! Breathing, moving my body, cultivating stability and mobility, meditating, relaxing, and connecting with others who are doing the same makes all the difference in my well-being and capacity to show up and do what I need to do. My Yoga and Meditation classes this week, plus new classes coming in the next few weeks, are listed below. You will find the class links you need for information, zoom, and payment, also below.
You may know about me that I formerly worked as a nonviolent communication trainer. While that has not been the main focus of my work, classes, or coaching in the last several years, the environment we are experiencing these days is calling me to refresh and focus stronger on connection, compassion, and nonviolence. One of the things I am doing is learning about peaceful ways I intend to participate in the event that election results are not respected. Here's a link from the non-partisan organization Choose Democracy about how I'm bringing myself up to speed.
One thing I've learned through my work and life so far is that it's more powerful to be *for* something, like interconnection, wholeness, dignity, peace, than it is to be *against* something, or against an individual person. Focusing my attention on my love and for what unites us sustains me. Things I notice that unite us are things like our love, connection, our fears, our vulnerabilities . . . These are things we all share. And when I lose track of that in the stress of the world, I refresh myself through practice!
