Somatic Sessions
Rhonda Mills, Founder of Embodied Witnessing
Rhonda's somatic sessions create a space where you can connect with the rhythm of your essential self.
What this means: slowing down and listening to the pulse of life through your body and emotions and relational experiences, supporting you to honor the truths your body already carries.
This space does not ask you to perform. It is a practice of welcoming your innate wholeness into relation. Every pause, every moment of uncertainty, every movement ~ spoken or unspoken ~ is included, so you can access the call of your heart, your inner knowing, your natural creativity. It is a practice of devotion, not diagnosis. You don’t arrive broken. You arrive carrying frequencies that many in our world have forgotten how to hear.

Rhonda supports you in your capacity in the wildly alive nature of your being. It means learning to remain true to yourself even when that truth is inconvenient, messy, shut down, or expansive beyond recognition. It’s protection of a sacred internal sovereignty that was never meant to be standardized.
The experience of being connected through our bodies is more than a personal wellness strategy. We come home to sensation, rhythm, intuition, and a deep inner call. Refusing to override our bodies’ knowing: our grief, rage, timing, numbing, reconnects us to integrated wisdom that is more ancient. And simultaneously emerging, flowing, fresh.
Your embodied clarity becomes medicine, not just for you but for the world around you.

Sessions are available for individuals, couples, or other small groups (2-3).
What unfolds in this space is not a method. It’s relational. Between you and your body. Between you and the unseen memory you carry. Between the life you’ve lived and the life your nervous system still believes it has to survive. This is not therapy or coaching in the traditional sense. And it’s not a bypass of your lived experience. It’s both a process of unraveling what you no longer need to carry at your body’s pace and touching the innate safety and beauty your body also holds. Your process is held with care, rigor, and consent every step of the way.
Our bodies remember things our minds haven’t yet made sense of. Together we’ll listen to the sacred as it unfolds through you.

How this work happens
I synthesize multiple complementary approaches, which means you get support that addresses your whole being -- body, emotions, mind, and spirit:
- Somatic Coaching, inspired by NARM (The Neuro-Affective Model for Working with Complex Trauma) created by Dr. Laurence Heller
- Big Leap Coaching / Embodied Integrity based on the work of Drs. Kathlyn & Gay Hendricks
- Nonviolent Compassionate Communication based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg
- Individual, Ancestral & Collective Healing based on the work of Thomas Hübl
- Global Social Witnessing inspired by the work of Thomas Hübl
- Somatic Archaeology©, a Native American 14-generational historical trauma model created by Dr. Ruby Gibson
- Conscious Movement
- The Himalayan Tradition
Some examples of people's intentions for working with me are: heal from traumatic events; resolve inner or outer dilemmas; re-align with your felt sense of integrity; create more balance in your inner world and your ecosystem; reclaim your wholeness, sense of empowerment, and creativity; recognize and release self-shaming and separation; imbue your soul gifts into specific aspects of your life (such as your work, relationships, community, or your parenting); ground in self-acceptance and acceptance of what is; and make peace with the past.
