Ayurveda, which means wisdom of life, is referred to as ‘yogic medicine’ amd originates from the same root as Yoga in ancient India. They both reflect a dharmic approach to life, a seeking to keep all beings in harmony with the laws of the Universe. Ayurveda defines true health as the alignment of body, senses, mind, and Soul (Purusha). It is the complete connection with the outer aspects of your being with your inner core.
In Yoga, as in Ayurveda, the nature of the individual is of prime importance. Traditionally, Yogic practices were not given ‘en masse’ but on a personalized basis. An understanding of your individual constitution, both physically and psychologically, is essential for healing. This brings Yoga to Ayurveda, which provides Yoga with the individual body-mind typology for Yoga practice. Whether it is diet, exercise, or meditation, the question is – what is the right practice for you? How can you address your real needs now, seasonally, through your lifetime?
Purpose is alignment with the impulse of your soul and your deepest desires. When you organize your life around your purpose, life flows and you enjoy increased ease and a deepening of meaning and fulfillment.
Integrity Skills, which are practices that tap into your inner wisdom through your breath, body, and mind, support you to integrate all that you're learning and what's happening in your life so that you evolve on an on-going basis. When you practice body-centered integrity, your liberate yourself from drama, "static" in relationships, and self-doubt, and increase your joy and your sense of body-heart-mind wholeness.
